How to Complain About a Sports Governing Body
Disputes with sports governing bodies: unfair disciplinary action, selection disputes, safeguarding failures. Sport Resolutions ADR route.
If you have a dispute with a sports governing body — whether about disciplinary proceedings, selection decisions, safeguarding concerns, or governance failures — you should first use the organisation's internal complaints and appeals process.
For disputes that cannot be resolved internally, Sport Resolutions provides independent arbitration, mediation and tribunal services for the UK sports sector. Many national governing bodies include Sport Resolutions arbitration clauses in their rules.
For safeguarding concerns involving children or vulnerable adults in sport, contact the NSPCC Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU) or report directly to your local authority.
