Terms of Service

Last updated: 6th February 2026

In plain English

EvenStance is a self-service platform that helps you organise and pursue consumer disputes. We provide tools, guidance, and AI-powered assistance, but we are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. By using EvenStance, you agree to these terms.

1. The service

EvenStance provides a platform for managing consumer disputes, including case organisation, AI-powered assessments, letter generation, deadline tracking, and communication logging. The service is available via web browser and progressive web app.

1a. Self-Service Platform

EvenStance is a self-service platform that provides tools, information, and AI-generated draft documents to help you manage your own consumer disputes. EvenStance does not act on your behalf, does not submit complaints or correspondence on your behalf, and does not communicate with any company or organisation on your behalf. EvenStance is not a claims management company and does not provide claims management services as defined by the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. All decisions about your dispute, including whether to send any letter or take any action, are yours. You are responsible for reviewing, approving, and sending all correspondence generated by the platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and resident in the United Kingdom to use EvenStance. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

3. Your account

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must provide accurate information when registering.
  • You must not share your account with others or create multiple accounts.
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

4. Subscriptions and payments

  • Motor Finance Redress claims under the FCA PS26/3 scheme (PCP and HP agreements, 2007–2024) are free, with no subscription required. Other dispute types require a paid subscription: the Resolve plan (3 cases, unlimited AI) or the Complete plan (unlimited cases, family profiles).
  • Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. You can cancel at any time from your Settings page.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

5. What EvenStance is not

EvenStance is not a law firm, solicitor, or regulated legal services provider. The information, tools, and AI-generated content on this platform are for general guidance only and do not constitute legal advice. For complex legal matters, consult a qualified solicitor.

6. AI-generated content

  • AI assessments, letters, and recommendations are generated by artificial intelligence and should be reviewed before use.
  • AI outputs may contain errors or inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing and editing any content before sending it.
  • AI-generated content does not guarantee any particular outcome for your dispute.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for fraudulent or vexatious claims.
  • Upload malicious content or attempt to compromise security.
  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or misuse the platform or its APIs.
  • Harass, threaten, or defame any person via the platform.
  • Violate any applicable UK laws.

8. Your content

You retain ownership of all content you upload or create on EvenStance. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the service. We will never use your case data for advertising or sell it to third parties.

9. Limitation of liability

EvenStance is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that using EvenStance will result in a successful dispute outcome. To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, our liability is limited to the subscription fees you have paid in the 12 months preceding any claim.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notification at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
